Costume Lab is a mini series about DIY costumes that will not only share inspiring Halloween costume ideas, but also highlight the benefits of creative play that naturally occur when children use open-ended toys, like Makedo, for creative development.

In this pop-culture series, we turn real-world excitement into hands-on, creative fun. Let’s work together to channel all of that excitement into inspiring kids to imagine, tinker, and play.

DIY costumes are more than just budget-friendly and eco-conscious projects; they are also powerful STEM at-home learning opportunities. When kids choose to build their own costumes, they move through the design process by practising creativity, problem-solving, construction challenges, and testing their hands-on skills all while fostering imagination. Their one-of-a-kind costume will look great.
