Use Scru-Dots to enhance your cardboard builds by covering the signature blue colour of the Makedo Scru. 

Depending on the cardboard you are building with, Scru Dots add feature and detail or they can camouflage connections.

First use a Makedo Scru or Scru+ to connect cardboard. 

Then select your Scru-Dot colour and snap it onto the head of the Makedo Scru.

TIP: You can also add Scrus as surface details, without making a connection! Think of buttons, colour features and adding personality and expression to your cardboard build. 

Yes, the Scru-Dots can be easily detached from the Makedo Scru connectors to be used over and over again.

Yes, all colours of the Makedo Scru-Dots are made from 100% recycled polyethylene.

Scru-Dots are also easily recycled at end-of-life, but that is a long way down the track because they are also endlessly reusable!

Scru-Dots are available in four carefully considered colour groups, with three colours in each pack.

It is not possible to choose which colours are in your Scru-Dot pack.

This pack features dark green, light green and brown caps to add natural detail or to camouflage connections for a clean, organic finish.

Scru-Dot | Summer Daze
This pack features bright red, orange and yellow caps that add sun-drenched detail or bold pops of colour for a bright, energetic finish.

Scru-Dot | Twilight Dreams
This pack features pink, lilac and blue caps that add subtle detail or playful pops of colour for a calm, imaginative finish.

Scru-Dot | Time Machine
This pack features black, white and grey caps that add technical detail or high-contrast accents for a sharp, sophisticated finish.

All you need is a Makedo Scru to snap the Scru-Dot onto! 

No tools or connectors are required to use Scru-Dots, they are easily attached or removed by hand.

TIP: For younger makers, attaching Scru-Dots is a great way to boost fine motor skills. Popping the Scru‑Dot on and off helps little hands build dexterity and coordination.

No, we only sell the tools for cardboard construction - to safely cut and connect.

In the spirit of making do, you need to find the cardboard locally.

- At second-hand box suppliers

The amount of Makedo you need depends on the number of people who will be working with Makedo at any given time and also the scale of what they are working on. As a rough guide we recommend the following: 

1-2 makers: 1x Explore kit (50 pieces)

2-5 makers / family group: 1x Discover kit (126 pieces)

4-8 makers / family + friends: 1x Create kit (260 pieces)

12-24 makers / classroom: 1x Invent kit (360 pieces)
