The companion tool to the Scru connector. For connecting cardboard quickly and securely. Enables rapid deconstruction of Makedo creations.

The heart of the Makedo cardboard construction system. Easily and firmly connect layers of cardboard with the Scru. Completely reusable, just a few quick turns and the Scru is released.

Here are a few ideas for where to find good cardboard:

- In your home recycling bin!
- At the grocer
- At the hardware store
- Near the loading bay at most supermarkets
- From picture framers
- At bicycle and appliance stores
- At second-hand box suppliers
- Ask small businesses or local retailers for their discarded shipping boxes
The amount of Makedo you need depends on the number of people who will be working with Makedo at any given time and also the scale of what they are working on. As a rough guide we recommend the following:

1-2 makers: 1x Explore Plus Bundle (58 pieces)

2-5 makers / family group: 1x Discover Plus Bundle (148 pieces)

4-8 makers / family + friends: 1x Create Plus Bundle (282 pieces)

12-24 makers / classroom: 1x Invent kit (360 pieces)

Top up your collection:
Additional packs of Makedo Scru connectors and individual tools are also available from our online store.
Anyone over the age of four can Makedo. If you are able to imagine that a cardboard box can be something other than ‘a box', then you have just earned your License to Makedo!

General recommendations:

Children aged 7+ can make independently.
Children 3 years or younger are not advised to have unsupervised access to Makedo.

Older siblings, parents, neighbours and friends are all encouraged to join in too!

Educational and entertaining
I always try to find gifts for my twin grandkids that will stand the test of time and I think this is a winner. 6 year olds needed some adult help for first couple projects but got the creative and cooperative juices flowing.
Wish I had bought two screw drivers is only regret!

Amazing Beyond Expectations
This kit is honestly fantastic, well worth the cost. I bought it for my son’s 5th birthday and he is able to use all the tools himself. Even his big cousin (11) was impressed and enjoyed playing with it. Brilliant 5 stars.

Creativity and manual skills excersise
Awesome product!
My kids wanted a dollhouse? Done. Shop with a crash register? Done. Photo camera (with colour magna-tile)? Done. Smartphone stand? Done. Every new box sparks imagination - What can we build this time. And - how. What's the plan.
Both kids are engaged in sawing, puncturing, skrus.
And proud - they did it!
After few days, when the fun is over, we can dismantle the construction, salvage skrus and think what should be next.
It's a bonding activity, and the money saver.
There is a list of toys my kids would be bored with after few days/weeks, so there is no point in buying them. They'd become a clutter.
But instead - building these toys, learning how to do it, playing with them, and deconstructing/cleaning after the fun is over, teaching the kids about recycling - that is the value the kids gry, exceeding far, far beyond the price of make.do set.
Worth every penny, and beyond 😎
