The Fold-Roller enables precise, controlled manipulation of cardboard. From simple linear folds to complex organic contours, discover your inner artist with this advanced cardboard construction tool.

How to use the Fold-Roller:
With firm pressure, glide the toothed wheel across the cardboard surface... then simply fold along the dashed line that you have created.
You can also use the Fold-Roller to help younger makers by tracing out the cutting lines that they can then follow with the Makedo Safe-Saw.

    This is a great tool!

    My girls have immediately made use of the makedo tools, it was the star of the holiday season. This is the fave tool of the bunch. Makes creating shapes a breeze.

    So helpful!

    I am so glad I added this to my initial purchase. Makes folding the cardboard exactly where you want it to an absolute breeze! My youngest is 3.5 and has been trying out her brother’s new kit but struggles to saw the cardboard. So we have taken to using the perforating roller first and then the saw goes through easily.

Are you looking to take you cardboard construction to the next level?

The Makedo Fold-Roller makes it easy to create finely controlled creases and folds in corrugated cardboard... exactly where you want them!

Beginners and younger makers can now access the skills that were previously only available to the expert cardboard artist.

Orders for US and Canadian destinations ship from our warehouse facility in Utah.


Orders to Australian and New Zealand destinations ship from Melbourne.


All other orders ship from our warehouse in Hong Kong.

The amount of Makedo you need depends on the number of people who will be working with Makedo at any given time and also the scale of what they are working on. As a rough guide we recommend the following: 


1-2 makers: 1x Explore kit (50 pieces)


2-5 makers / family group: 1x Discover kit (126 pieces)


12-24 makers / classroom: 1x Invent kit (360 pieces)

In the spirit of making do, you need to find the cardboard locally.


Here are a few ideas for where to find good cardboard:


- In your home recycling bin
- At the grocer
- At the hardware store 
- Near the loading bay at most supermarkets 
- From picture framers
- At bicycle and appliance stores  
- At second-hand box suppliers 
- At cardboard recycling plants 
- From cardboard manufacturers

Anyone over the age of four can Makedo. If you are able to imagine that a cardboard box can be something other than ‘a box', then you have just earned your License to Makedo!


General recommendations:


Children aged 4+ can make with the assistance of an adult.
Children aged 7+ can make independently.
Children 3 years or younger are not advised to have unsupervised access to Makedo.


Older siblings, parents, neighbours and friends are all encouraged to join in too!
